Setting Prism and Cylinder Options

Often you have in your catalogues with prisms or cylinder options associated with your RX lenses. This is where you need to set them up. This kind of options can be set as mandatory and/or included, the minimum and maximum terminals that you enter will allow you to trigger when entering the options without any action from the optician.

If you have two Prism options (Prism < 4 and Prism >= 4), the minimum and maximum values of these two options must be indicated in the Measurements box:

  • Prism < 4: Minimum value = 0.25 and maximum value = 3.75

  • Prism >= 4: Minimum value = 4 and the maximum value can be limited or left empty.

In these two examples, three cases are possible:

  • The optician does not enter a prism value: the surcharge will not be included in the order.

  • The optician enters a prism of 2.25: the Prism < 4 options will apply if it is included or must be entered if it is simply mandatory.

  • The optician enters a prism of 6.5: the Prism >= 4 options will apply if it is included or must be entered if it is simply mandatory.
