IWICATALOG - Mass Update

This frame shows examples realized partly from the Lens Catalog module. Of course the operation is identical for all the types of products you have access to.

Making a modification on several products in iWiCatalog can be done in different ways :

ā—¼ļø Thanks to the CVS list šŸ‘‰ IWICATALOG - Mass update via the CSV list

ā—¼ļø Thanks to the different interface formats šŸ‘‰ IWICATALOG - Mass update via Excel Interface

ā—¼ļø Thanks to the blue Update button šŸ‘‰ IWICATALOG - Mass update via the Update button

šŸ™‹ How to proceed to my update?

When you have chosen an update method (CVS list, interface formats or the Update button), the redirection takes you to the mass update page above.

There are two first options on the top two tabs: Updates and Delete (see 1. above).

šŸ“— Updates tab

The Updates tab allows you to make replacements, deletions or additions to the products you have selected.

Always make sure that the number of products that will be updated corresponds to the number you expect (see 2. above).

The frame Updates is like a product sheet in iWiCatalog, you will find the same tabs: General, Technical, Marketing, Price, Combinations, Health Insurance and Specific data (see 3. above).

šŸ”ŗ General subtab

It allows you to mass assign a model, manufacturer, distributor as well as the main characteristics of the products.

It allows you to define if it is a public product, in a modified or deleted state.

It allows you to add or remove signs to your products as well as families (see screenshot above).

The Public product data presents in Lens modification offers three options: undefined i.e. do not change the value already indicated, yes all products will be forced to be public and no all products will be forced to be no longer public.

šŸ”ŗ Technical subtab

By clicking on the Delete option, the existing product data will be deleted, even if the box in front of it is empty.

šŸ”ŗ Price subtab

This is where you can mass update your prices. Another solution is to use the Excel Prices interface which is generally easier to understand.

šŸ”µ STEP 1

Any type of product except lens

If you want to mass update the prices of your selected products, click on the Price tab.

For lenses

There is a specificity for the lenses, you just have to click on the blue Load ranges button to display the different options available. After loading, the number of lenses per type of range is indicated in blue above the price to be modified. see opposite.

Ā

šŸ”µ STEP 2

Any type of product except lens

The number of lenses per range is indicated among those you will have selected as well as the type of Price to modify in the option Price to modify: Public or groupment.Ā

For lenses

The number of lenses per type of range is indicated in blue above the price to be modified.

šŸ”µ STEP 3

The Mode frame is used to make modifications:

Only checked prices will be updated. If you don't want them to be updated, remember to uncheck the box. If you don't, the prices will be updated and the cell being empty all the prices will be deleted. Remember to test one or two products to analyze the behavior and make a backup before any modification.

šŸ”· From a new price

Here it is a question of applying a price that you will define in the box on the right. It can contain a start and end date. Depending on the type of product, you will of course be able to use different pricing policies.

šŸ”· From an existing price

Here it is a question of applying by means of a coefficient an existing price in the drop-down menu below.

In the example below, I have chosen to update the Public rate using the purchase price of the Test iZySolutions groupment.

In the right frame, the formula used is y = ax + b. I thus chose to apply a coefficient of 1.2 on the selling price of Test iZySolutions to apply it in the public selling price.

Ā

šŸ”· Delete the price

Here the prices of the price types that will be checked are deleted.

šŸ”ŗ Combination subtab

This tab is only available on lens type product. It allows you to create, modify or delete combinations for public versions or groupments.

Several possibilities are offered to you:

  • The choice of the Public or Groupment product

Update of a Public version

Update of a Groupment version

Update of a Public version

Update of a Groupment version

Click on the blue + button

You can select the Mandatory, Included and/or Hidden characteristics and then click on the Add button.

OR

Click on the Delete button

Make a filter and click on Add all

You can select the Mandatory, Included and/or Hidden features and then click on the Include button.

Click on the blue + button or make a filter and click on Select all

As we have already seen it in the IWICATALOG - Gestion des enseignes documentation, it is possible to include or exclude options for a particular groupment. In mass updates, it is possible to create or remove specific combinations for a groupment. When you choose both removal options, the mandatory, included, and hidden types are no longer visible.

  1. Include: allows you to add a combination that does not exist on the public version

    1. A line with a + will be added in the groupments

  2. Delete inclusion(s): cancels the option added on the groupment version (cancels case 1)

    1. The line with the + in the groupments will be more visible.

  3. Exclude: allows you to delete an option presents on a public version.

    1. A line with a - will be added in the groupments

  4. Delete exclusion(s) : allows to cancel the deletion of an option presents on a groupment version (cancels case 3)

    1. The line with the + in the groupments will be more visible

Ā

šŸ“• Delete tab

This tab corresponds to the red cross that you can find at the beginning of each product row in the product table.

It allows you to permanently delete several products. Indeed, they will not be in Deleted state (action code of the Marketing tab of a product) but totally deleted from your product database that contains the catalog.

If you need to make a permanent deletion, click on the Delete button (see 1. above).

Always make sure that the number of products that will be updated is the one you expect (see yellow highlighting above).

Click on the Delete button (see 2. above) to proceed with the deletion.

Then click on the Update button (see 3. above) to finalize the operation.
