In order to activate the translation menu, you must:ย
Go to the Parametersย and then in the Interface tab
The boxย Report language give you access to the different available languages (Catalog languages) for you catalog. Click on the wanted language and keep the CTRL key on the keyboard pressed if you want to select several languages.
When you feel you are finished, click onย Save
Refresh the page by clicking on the F5ย key on the keyboard
Verify that the Translationย menu has appeared in the left table
There are two ways to apply translations: from the Translation menu or directly in the products.
How to proceed from the Translation menu
Auto Translation tab:ย
In this tab you will have to fill in the word as it is in the catalog and then fill in the value for the different languages.
In the example below, we want to change the term blue to blue when exporting a catalog in English.
Translations are sensitive to the writing style used (upper case, lower case, etc.), i.e. the term blue will be replaced by blue.ย As a result, the terms Blue, bLeu or others will not be modified on export because they are not written in the same way as the blue word filled in the box
Translation tab:
In this tab; you must selectย the Product type, theย Languageย and theย Dateย that you want to translate.ย
In the example below, the lensย iZyUnifย will be translated inย iZy Single Visionย in an English catalog.ย
ย How to proceed from a product
When you are in the Generalย tab of your product you must click on the flag image in order to access the translations.
After that, a popup window will open and give you access to the translations. You will need to fill them in and then save them when you feel you are done.
In the screenshots, you will notice that the same product does not have the same defined translation. When exporting, the one saved in the product has priority and will therefore be present in the catalogs.
In exports, if the format allows it, it is possible to use translations.
To do this, you will need to select the Language in the Parameters of the Export tab in order to generate catalogs in different languages.
