IWICATALOG - Creating a lens: Price grids

The Price grid tab allows you to view and manage lens price grids.

Price

This is where you will need to fill in the prices. The Purchase and Selling labels are editable. To change the labels click on the following link:

  • The type: allows you to define a price policy that can be:

    • a unique price: same price for the entire production grid

    • a complex price: to define in IWICATALOG - Parameters: Tab Price in the parts Price and New price

  • The range type: allows you to specify to which manufacturing grid the price will apply. Only the available ranges on the lens manufacturing grid are suggested

  • Difference price per diameter: allows you to indicate a price per diameter

  • First and last date: allow you to indicate validity dates on price grids

  • PurchaseSelling : here you must fill in the lens price

You will find below 4 examples of price management:

  • Simple: a unique price for the whole manufacturing grid

  • Simple per diameter: a unique price for the whole manufacturing grid but this price will also depend on the selected diameter

  • Complex: the number of prices depends on the price you select

  • Complex per diameter: the number of prices depends on the price you select and is multiplied by the number of available diameters.

For complex prices, please only fill in the areas corresponding to the manufacturing grids.

For example, if the lens includes a maximum 4 cylinder you can select a price type with a definition with higher possibilities (cyl > 6). In this case, the price included in the cyl > 6 will stay empty.

If it is not the case, the catalog generated will include price definitions for non-available manufacturing grids.

For the Optimeyes and Opto11 formats the catalogs will be in error. For the other formats we don't know how they will be interpreted.

Price grid form

This table shows the prices applied to lens. You can manage the grids individually with the add, modify and delete buttons.

The table shows columns as follows:

  1. Edit the price grid

  2. Delete the price grid

  3. Range type: range to which the price applies

  4. Diam.: specifies the diameter to which the price applies. If empty, then the price is the same regardless of the diameter on the lens

  5. Point: specifies the points on the manufacturing grid to which the price applies

  6. The following columns adapt to the price headings you have chosen in order to display the corresponding prices

Warning

If you change a range on the manufacturing grid of a lens, the range on the price grid must also be modified.

Editing a price

This view presents prices with more details and complexity. Here you can:

  • Indicate a validity date (optional)

  • Add special marketing price: this corresponds to the manufacturer special price code. The special price codes' list and their meanings must be previously agreed with the buyer. The name is applicable to the product concerned and may be different for another product even if the special price's code is the same.

  • Indicate a percentage reduction for balancing: percentage reduction applied when the lens is a balancing lens.

  • Manage the diameters (if the table is empty then the price will be available for all lens diameters)

  • Manage the spheres and cylinders terminals for the definition of the price

  • Enter a price
