This article is dedicated to how essential characteristics work and how to insert yours into iWiCatalog. 

💡 Where can you find this data in iWiCatalog? 

You can find essential characteristics in several of your products: 

• Glasses
• Supplements
• Integrated lenses
• Frames
• Lenses
• Solutions

They will always be found in the Marketing tab part of the desired product (see image above) except for Integrated Lenses where you will find them in General tab. 

💡 How to insert them? 

When you want to feed or modify a single product, proceed directly to its data page.

When you want to feed or modify several products, proceed with the Quote interface:

 : Choose your update type (All, Checked or CSV List)  

 : Click on Interface button and: 

• Choose Quote format
• Export to obtain the file and complete it with your essential characteristics
• Proceed to the import by having previously converted your file to.Zip format 

📣  If you have activated Integrated lenses part, you will need to supply the integrated lenses area. There is no automatic concatenation of lens and supplement characteristics. The basic lens and the integrated supplement must not be supplied.
