FAQ - Exports - Master catalogs
Find out what a super catalogue is ?
What is the principe of a Master catalog ?
The principe is to use several catalogs, each of which can have the same products. Merging these catalogs makes it possible to obtain all the products without duplicating them.
How does the control work during the merge process?
In order not to have duplicates, the checks are carried out on the uniqueness key which is composed of :
manufacturer code
distributor code
product code sent in the catalogs
The result of my export does not return what I expect
Products are missing
Make sure that the uniqueness key condition is respected in iWi because this can happen when in a super catalog catalogs are public and signs. Below are some concrete examples with the exported result.
In iWi | Result in the super catalogue containing public products and signs |
---|---|
Same name and codes | Only one lens will be in the final catalog with the code DK16AR |
Different name but same codes | Only one lens will be in the final catalog with the code DK16AR. Name will be iZyDeskTest 16 AR Plus |
Different name and order code but same product code | Only one lens will be in the final catalog with the code DK16AR. Name will be iZyDeskTest 16 AR Plus Be careful, the result may be misleading depending on the format. The code used in some formats (e.g. WinOpt) is the order code. In this case two lenses could be expected but only one will be present. |
Different names and codes | Two lenses will be included in the final catalog, each with its own code. |
