Fields on the General tab must be carefully filled in. If the mandatory data is not filled in, the frame will not be correctly described in the exported catalogs.

Reminder, the unique key of a product is determined by:

• The manufacturer code (frame identification frame)

• The distributor code (frame identification frame)

• GTIN (frame codes frame)

Frame identification

This part makes it possible to assign a manufacturer, a distributor to the frame but also to indicate if the frame is public or not.

• If the catalog has been imported, the codes entered in the catalog will be indicated in each product.

Frame codes

• GTIN: the 14-character GTIN code is equivalent to the UPC code (12 car.) and the EAN code (13 car.). Since the GTIN code always starts with a zero (logistics code), it is only possible to store 13 characters in iWiCatalog. However, all 14 characters must be transmitted in the EDI catalog. If the code entered in iWiCatalog is not 14 characters long or if it is erroneous then an image representing an exclamation mark will be displayed to inform you.

• Marking code: code usually present on one of the frame's temples. Often created in the form model, size and color. We made the choice to auto-calculate this field according to the information filled in the model code, the size, the size of the nose and the color code. If a red cross is visible on this field it does not mean that there is an error but that what is filled in is different from what we calculate.

• Model code: identification of a product family as defined by the manufacturer. The term "style" of the frame is also sometimes used.

• Internal code: a code specific to iWiCatalog. It can be used for specific needs.

Optimeyes codes

• Frame code: put the code you wish to enter in the Optimeyes exports (in frame code and/or order code)

• UPC : this field is auto-calculated according to what is entered in the GTIN. If the GTIN contains 14 characters then the UPC code will be filled in automatically.

• EAN : this field is auto-calculated according to what is entered in the GTIN. If the GTIN contains 14 characters then the EAN code will be filled in automatically.

Main characteristics

• Type: indicates in the catalog if it is a spectacle frame, sunglass, clip-on, mask or preassembled frame.

• Sub type: to indicate the type of frame (rim mount, semi-rimless mount (nylor) or rimless mount).

• Nominal horizontal lens size: distance between the vertical sides in boxing value. Commercial side.

• Nominal distance between lenses: distance between the two calibers in boxing. Commercial side.

• Nominal overall length of side : length measured from the axis of the hinge screw to the end of the leg. Commercial side.

  • Mandatory for optical, solar and pre-mounted frames

  • Optional if it is a mask

  • No value in the case of a solar clip

• Serial number: to indicate that the frame contains a serial number

• Branding: the brand codes are not standardized, it is up to the manufacturer to define each code. It includes a code and a description.

• Collection: code to identify a subset of the brand. Includes a code and a description.

• Colors code: to identify the color of the frame model

• Color: color of the frame as described by the manufacturer
