Contact lens identification

In this frame you can enter a manufacturer, a distributor and a name to a contact lens.

  • Assign a manufacturer and a distributor (mandatory)

    1. When the catalog does not contain a product, that it is created from scratch the manufacturers and distributor do not exist, so they will have to be created (see documentation IWICATALOG - Parameters: Fab/Dist tab for creation then to know how to replace manufacturers and/or distributors in the catalogs when exporting)

    2. If the catalog has been imported, the codes entered in the catalog will be indicated in each product

  • Fill in the contact lens name (mandatory) (number of characters depending on the format):

    • 60 👉 in Opto11

    • 50 👉 in Optimeyes

  • Trial contact lens (mandatory):to indicate if the contact lens is a trial contact lens or if it is a trial contact lens at the time of ordering

  • Public product: to indicate if the product is available in the Public catalogs or only for particular Groupment(s)

Contact lens codes

  • Product code (mandatory): attributed by the manufacturer, this code must be unique in the catalog

  • EDI code (mandatory): the code to use when ordering. If it is not used then it will be equal to the product code

Main characteristics

  • Type of vision (mandatory): to indicate the type of correction and to know if the addition or the cylinder must be entered:

    • Spheric, no addition and no cylinder

    • Progressive spheric, addition mandatory and no cylinder

    • Toric, no addition and cylinder mandatory

    • Progressive toric, addition mandatory and cylinder mandatory

  • Contact lens type (mandatory): to indicate if the contact lens is soft or hard

    • For a soft lens, you will have access to the data:

      • Contact lens material (optional): whose expected values are : Hydrogel, Silicon hydrogel and Non-hydrogel

    • For a hard contact lens, you will have access to the following data

      • Contact surface (optional): whose expected values are corneal and scléral

  •  Material (mandatory): to designate the commercial name of the material

  • Pupil color (mandatory): to indicate if the contact lens is a colored contact lens or not

    • Tint: if it is a colored lens, you must fill in the commercial name of the color. We recommend to put this information in the case of a colored lens.

  • CL usage (mandatory): to indicate the periodicity use of the contact lens (from daily to 2 years)

  • Wear schedule (mandatory): to indicate if it a daily or extended wear

Families

Families are used as filters. They can be used in iWiCatalog in order to easily find a set of products but also in exported catalogs in order to include or exclude products belonging to a family.

To add a family on a product, you will have to click on the list of available families and then to click on the blue Add button to make it appears in the table.
