Why is my import in "error"?

There are two different formats:

EXCEL

The problems often encountered on imports in Excel format are due to :

...

  • The presence of formulas in the file (our program does not interpret the formulas). It is necessary to make sure before importing that the file contains only values.

  • The import history indicates that there is missing data on lines when they seem empty. You will then have to delete these lines in Excel to re-import the catalog.

  • The different possible messages:

    • Impossible to find the product associated to line X. Either the product code is wrong in the Excel file (or its unique key manufacturer code, distributor code and product code) or the product does not exist in iWiCatalog.

    • The Brand data () is not in the expected format (label code). Line X. This message also exists for the collection and the colors. It is important to fill in these cells in the right format as follows "code - label". If the cell is not empty then it must be in the right format.

    • Name of the data : Mandatory data in line X: indicates that this data is expected and must be filled in correctly. This mandatory character has been defined for the Opto11 format.

    • The archive Copy of Price_20200415033957.xlsx contains more than one :

      • [Content_Types].xml

      • .rels

      • workbook.xml

      • workbook.xml.rels

      • sheet1.xml

      • theme1.xml

      • styles.xml

      • sharedStrings.xml

      • sheet1.xml.rels

      • printerSettings1.bin

      • core.xml

      • app.xml

      • custom.xml

This is due to the fact that the file is not zipped. It will have to be zipped to be imported again.

  • Impossible to find the groupment at line X: the corresponding cells contain a value not known by iWiCatalog. Please modify your Excel file or add a sign in iWiCatalog.

  • The expected tabs are not all present: it is important not to modify the names of the tabs in the Excel format because they allow the program to know the tab and the type of data to interpret.

  • Impossible to find the combination option in line X: this indicates that a supplement code is present in the Combinations tab while the supplement is not known in the Options tab. (Watch out for spaces that could be the cause of this problem)

  • Unable to find the lens combined with the manufacturing grid in the X line: this indicates that a glass code is present in the Manufacturing Grid tab while the glass is not known in the Glass tab. (Beware of spaces that could be the cause of this problem)

  • Unable to find the lens associated with the price grid on line X: this indicates that a glass code is present in the Price grid tab while the glass is not known in the Glass tab. (Beware of spaces that could be the cause of this problem)

  • The marking code contains too many characters (max. 25) in the X line: indicates that the marking code is too long for the defined standards (here limited to 25 characters). This information will have to be corrected before importing the file again.

  • Min. addition (Manufacturing grids tab): the same message can be displayed for the max. addition. This will require a correction on your part. This message is displayed according to the type of lens.

  • Routing name (Manufacturing grids tab): indicates that the name of the routing is not filled in. This information will need to be corrected before importing the file again.
